Which console(s) do you own ?
Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, Sony PlayStation, Sony PlayStation 2 (if handhelds count: Nintendo DS) (if computers count: brand new top of the line gaming system).
What are your favorite GameCube games and why ? Are they among your all-time favorite video games ?
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I'd say it's up there in my favorites list for sure, just because it's Legend of Zelda. What's going to be awesome is the new Legend of Zelda game for GameCube when it comes out later this year.
The mass question: what's the color of your Cube ? how many games and controllers do you own for it ? do you have a Game Boy Advance, a Nintendo DS ? do you play online or in LAN ?
I have a purple GameCube (sigh - it's the only color that was in stock when I went to buy it). I have about 5 games (3 of them being Legend of Zelda titles) and 2 controllers (the basic one it came with and a wireless WaveBird) for it. I had a GameBoy Advance SP, but I traded in towards my Nintendo DS. I play online in a lot of games - but nothing to do with Nintendo because they didn't support online play.
Which characteristic (graphics, sound, gameplay...) of a game do you value the most ?
The gameplay is probably the most important - what's the point of playing it if it's not fun? After that I'd say the storyline, because it just makes a game that much better.
Anything you regret about the GameCube ?
Yeah, buying it. Hahaha, buying it at full price when it first came out I mean. I should've waited until it dropped to it's current price ($99 CDN) and then picked up the couple games I have.
What sort of game would you like to see on GameCube ?
Online games. Simple as that - some of the best games I've played on this generation of consoles has been SOCOM I and SOCOM II online on PlayStation 2.
Any gaming exploits ? Anything you achieved in a video game that you are particularly proud of ?
Hmmm... I can beat Super Mario 64 (the Nintendo 64 version) in less than an hour. If you want I can make you a video of it... :p
What would you say to convince people to buy a GameCube ?
I'd say you can't go wrong for how much it costs now, you can pick up a console and some great games for less than the price of brand new PlayStation 2.
Is there a not so well known GC title that you'd like to bring attention to ?
Not that I know... all of the good games for GameCube seem to be the big name, first party, Nintendo titles - hence everyone usually knows about them.
Would you like to say something to all the game makers at Nintendo Japan ? (they might read you !)
I can't wait for the new Legend of Zelda GameCube game - keep up the good work... AND DON'T BE AFRAID TO TRY NEW THINGS (ONLINE PLAY).
Thank you for answering Samurai Nintendo's questions !
