Went back to its quiet routine.
Famicom Mini everywhere ! But where is the GameCube ?
A few words about the new version of Samurai Nintendo, I'll try to keep you up to date every once in a while. I don't want to reveal anything about it, so I'll talk about it in cryptic terms. If you've been checking the completion rate counter above for the past months, you surely notice that it's moving verrrry slowly. It's actually very difficult to estimate how accurate the counter is, the completion ideal (100%) is based on a fully finished version of Samurai Nintendo, with no missing or under construction section. I can't say at the moment how correct this percent is, sometimes I feel I've done much more than what the counter displays (when I think of how much time I spent on this and that little thing), sometimes I feel the site will really be finished when 200% is reached !
One of my main concerns was one difficult part in the making of the new site. I was really worried this would take me ages to complete, but surprisingly I think I've been doing quite well and I moved faster than expected on this part. Not that it's completed yet, but I think I overcame one of the biggest difficulties, hopefully there's no hidden trap beyond this one. So far, several small but important parts of the site are ready such as the main design and the review/preview page layout. When all the parts will be done, the most difficult will be behind me and from this point, the work on the new version should feel much faster and more secured. All I will have to do then is to "pour" the content from the current version to the new one.
But before that, I'm in this most obscure part of the making, the building of the architecture of the site if I may say so, and I can't really tell when this part will be done. I know what I still have to do, but I don't know how long it will take. However, I can venture to give an estimation date of the coming of the new version, just for fun... perhaps, it will be ready this October. Once again though, this date sometimes seems realistic, while some other time I wonder if I'll make it before the end of the year... Once thing is sure, I'm very impatient to move to this new version, it will really change a lot of things for the site, the visitors and for me as well.
Tragedy, surprise & performance in this week's ranking.
Paper Mario RPG is doing well and Megaman X Command Mission, which just arrived, is not. Very quiet months ahead with only three releases, but one of them is... Zoids VS III !
