4 Weeks of Ranking Update
September 29, 2005
Because of this erratic month, the Japanese ranking hadn't been updated for a long while. But do not worry my good friend, you did not miss anything worthy ! For the GameCube, all is quiet on the Japanese front. Nintendo focuses its effort on the DS and the top 50 has only 2 GC titles (Pokemon XD and Super Mario Baseball) fighting, not for supremacy, but for the right stay longer in the charts. And seeing no new GC game comes before a month, they will indeed need to fight for their survival. Along with this frankly boring ranking, the planning has been updated, with release dates for a new One Piece game (always one around this time of the year), "Pirates Cannibal", and for Harvest Moon: A Poem of Happiness for World (see below).

Harvest Moon: Poem of Happiness, "for World" version !
September 29, 2005
A Wonderful Life, Another Wonderful Life, Poem of Happiness, and now Poem of Happiness for World ! This is getting a bit insane, 4 Harvest Moon for GameCube. This latest enhancement will feature some new cute characters it seems, and will release on November 10... in Japan. No word yet on the release of Poem of Happiness in US and Europe, but now, with a title such as "for World", it can't be staying in Japan only !

Baten Kaitos 2 !?
September 23, 2005
This is perhaps even more surprising than the look of the Revolution's controller because we had absolutely no idea it was coming. Namco unveiled a prequel to Baten Kaitos during the Tokyo Game Show to be released on GameCube. Although Baten Kaitos was great RPG, the idea of releasing a prequel, moreover on GameCube, is a disputable choice crossed with what may be a suicidal move from Namco in term of sales. They seem to be affected by the let's-get-the-most-out-of-our-game-engine syndrome. In the new game, which takes place 20 before, you control Sagi, an elite fighter from the Empire. As in the first game you will play a spirit following the lead character. Some of the protagonists of Baten Kaitos will also appear as their younger selves, such as Gibari the fisherman, Savyna, Geldoblame and king Ladekahn. We will publish a review of the first game and more information including pictures about its prequel in the coming weeks.

Back with a Vengeance !
September 23, 2005
No, no vengeance, merely comments, but a bunch of them ! Besides the comments which unfortunately did not make it in the game pages but were published in the forum, in this topic, the following games have been updated with new comments: Battalion Wars, Resident Evil, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Hello Kitty Roller Rescue, Animal Crossing, Geist and 2 comments for Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for Girls, 2 comments for Resident Evil 4, 4 comments for Harvest Moon: Poem of Happiness and 6 comments for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, obviously the girl in every gamer's heart at the moment.

This 3-weeks no-update period was simply due to the fact that our Internet connection was off, and that the solution came very late. Sorry for the inconvenience !
